Join us for a dynamic session where we’ll exchange experiences on finding mobility partners, integrating mobility outcomes into our organizations, and monitoring impacts—all in a World Café format.

How do you find partners for your mobilities?

- Think carefully about what type of mobility you want to organize.
- Reach out to as many people as possible within the organization, especially in countries in the South, because the official contact email sometimes goes unanswered.
- Network with many people at conferences or other in-person events.
- Contact a partner library by phone, it seems old fashioned, but it works and gives you a quick response.
- Look for a partner library with whom you have something in common.
- Count on a little bit of luck.
- Offer a reciprocal exchange as part of mobility programs; offer to host in return.
- Schedule a meeting right away in your first email.
- Use LinkedIn.
- Use your personal hobbies and social networks contacts.
- Use the EPALE platform for searching partners.
- Make use of your existing contacts and partners from other projects.
- Share contact information among coordinators in different countries.
- When looking for a partnership, consider something less obvious than the best and largest library, which may be overwhelmed with requests. Smaller, lesser-known libraries that also offer interesting activities can be a very pleasant and inspiring surprise, and they may welcome you more quickly and willingly.
- Organize special random events – e.g. online speed dating for libraries
- Cooperate internationally on a higher level – e.g. university libraries through their university etc.
- When meeting in person, always offer something to eat and drink, it makes for a more pleasant atmosphere and encourages people to communicate and cooperate.
- Have your library website in English, make some social media posts in English or even other languages.
- Register in the NAPLE Sister Libraries – to find a partner, to contact other libraries, to add your own activity that would attract attention of potential partners.
- Use your national library association as a channel of communication and networking.
- Take part in Staff weeks – internships for meeting Erasmus+ coordinators from different countries.
- Put small pieces of visual information in your e-mails to make them more attractive – e.g. an attractive photo of your library, a map showing the location of your library etc.
- Stay in touch with your former partners from other projects and maintain a good relationship with them.
